Type of Hearing Aids
Based on their shape, hearing aids can be categorised into 6 types.
BTE Hearing Aids
Behind-the-ear or BTE hearing aids are type of hearing aids that you wear outside of your outer ear. A small tube routes the external sound to your ear.
RIC Hearing Aids
Receiver-In-Canal (RIC) Hearing Aids are placed inside the ear canal and thin wires are used instead of plastic tubes. It is an open fitting device that is quite comfortable to use.
IIC Hearing Aids
In-The-Canal Hearing Aid is custom made and fits partially in the Ear Canal. They are partially visible due to the slightly bigger size than that of CIC. IIC’s are comfortable and easy to use.
ITC Hearing Aids
Invisible Hearing Aids are Hearing Aids which are completely not visible to the eye. They are custom made and are virtually not seen. IIC Hearing Aids comes with discreet fitting and the latest Hearing Technology.
ITE Hearing Aids
In-the-ear hearing aids (ITE) are the custom made but most discreet hearing aid styles available. This discreet style has no external wires or tubes visible, as opposed to behind-the-ear hearing aids.
CIC Hearing Aids
Completely In the Canal Hearing Aids fit inside the ear and out of our sight. A CIC Hearing Aid is moulded to fit inside the ear canal that improves the hearing by amplifying the sounds.
